Toyota Stadium sits at 9200 World Cup Way in Frisco, about 30 miles north of downtown Dallas. It opened in 2005 as Pizza Hut Park, got renamed in 2013, and has been the home of FC Dallas ever since. With 20,500 seats, it's one of the older soccer-specific stadiums in MLS. But it's also one of the busiest.

Beyond FC Dallas matches, Toyota Stadium hosts U.S. National Team games, international friendlies, the Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl, Frisco ISD high school football, concerts, and community events. It held 15 straight NCAA FCS Championship games from 2010 to 2024, the longest single-venue streak for any NCAA football championship.

In 2026, it takes on its biggest role yet: official FIFA World Cup base camp.

Here's everything you need to know before you go.

The $182 Million Renovation

Toyota Stadium is in the middle of a massive overhaul. The Frisco City Council approved a $182 million public-private partnership with FC Dallas in September 2024, and construction started in early 2025.

What's changing: a new roof structure covering the east, west, and north stands (finally providing shade from the Texas sun), three new club spaces, the largest LED video board in any soccer-specific MLS stadium at 6,000 square feet, a new standing-only supporters section replacing the old north-end concert stage, all new seats throughout the bowl, a new sound system, expanded concourses, 59% more concession points, and 26% more restrooms.

When it's done, capacity will increase from 20,500 to 23,900. HKS Architects (the same firm behind AT&T Stadium and SoFi Stadium) designed the project. Manhattan Construction Group is building it.

The east side is under construction now and reopens in summer 2026. The west side then goes under construction through early 2028. FC Dallas continues playing home matches throughout, but with reduced capacity of roughly 6,000 to 8,000 seats during the renovation.

If you're attending a match during construction, expect a different experience than the full stadium. Fewer seats means a tighter, louder atmosphere. But concourse access and concession options are limited on the construction side. Check the FC Dallas website for the current stadium map before each match.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Base Camp

Toyota Stadium was officially designated as a FIFA World Cup 2026 Team Base Camp Training Site in March 2026. A European national team will use the stadium and its surrounding facilities as their home base during the group stage of the tournament this summer.

The team hasn't been confirmed yet. It will be the winner of the UEFA Playoff Path B, which includes Poland, Albania, Sweden, and Ukraine. FIFA will assign the team after qualification wraps up.

For Frisco, this means a national team will be training on the Toyota Soccer Center's fields, staying at a nearby hotel, and bringing international media and fans to the area for several weeks in June and July 2026.

The city is also hosting World Cup watch parties at Simpson Plaza in downtown Frisco for every match of the tournament. Expect live music, international food vendors, and interactive events. It's free and open to the public.

If you want to catch a glimpse of the team training, Toyota Stadium's layout makes it possible to see the practice fields from certain public areas. Arrive early and bring water. June and July in North Texas are brutal.

Getting There

GPS address: 9200 World Cup Way, Frisco, TX 75034. The stadium is right off the Dallas North Tollway.

From downtown Dallas (30 miles): Take the Dallas North Tollway north to the Main Street/Cotton Gin Road exit. Turn right on Main Street. The stadium is on your left. About 35 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.

From DFW Airport (25 miles): Take Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH 121) east to the Dallas North Tollway north. Exit at Main Street. About 30 to 40 minutes.

From Fort Worth (45 miles): Take SH 121 east to the Dallas North Tollway north. About 50 to 60 minutes.

There is no direct public transit to the stadium. DART light rail does not extend to Frisco. The closest DART station is Parker Road in Plano on the Red/Orange Line, about 10 miles south. From there you'd need a rideshare. Plan to drive or take an Uber/Lyft.

Rideshare tip: after matches, the pickup area gets congested. Walk a block or two away from the main exit before calling your ride. You'll get picked up faster and avoid the surge.

Parking

Several lots surround the stadium. All parking payments are cashless. Bring a credit card, debit card, or mobile payment. No cash accepted at any lot.

Season ticket members: free parking in the Corolla Red, Highlander Green, and RAV4 White lots. Passes are loaded into your AXS Fan Portal. Arrive at least 60 minutes before kickoff because these lots don't guarantee a spot if you're late.

General parking: $20 for non-season-ticket holders in all general lots (Sienna Blue, Corolla Red, Highlander Green, RAV4 White) for regular season matches. Other events may vary.

Free street parking: Locals know you can park for free on the street near the Cinemark movie theater about two blocks south of the stadium. It's a short walk, and you skip the lot fee entirely. Several restaurants are along the route if you want to grab food before the match.

Lots open three hours before kickoff for FC Dallas matches. Tailgating is allowed with some rules: propane grills are fine, but no charcoal or lighter fluid. No outside catering companies. No open flames. Clean up after yourself.

Food and Drinks

The concessions at Toyota Stadium have gotten significantly better in recent years. Executive Chef Erika Dabney and the Legends Hospitality team have pushed the menu well beyond standard stadium fare.

Standout items from the current menu:

The Striker Burrito: the signature item. A loaded burrito that's become the most talked-about concession in the stadium.

Brisket Cotija Tacos: 14-hour house-smoked brisket in flour tortillas with tater tots, cheddar cheese sauce, and fresh pico.

Coca-Cola BBQ Bacon Burger: a grilled beef patty with Coca-Cola BBQ sauce. Messy in the best way.

Meatzza Pizza Fries: fries topped with marinara, mozzarella, Italian sausage, and pepperoni.

Nashville Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich: crispy chicken with hot honey. One of the newer additions.

Vegetarian options include a vegan sausage, vegan tenders, a "chicken" salad croissant sandwich, roasted garlic hummus with pita, and a kale, sweet potato, and pepita salad. The vegetarian menu is better than you'd expect at a Texas stadium.

Drinks: Coca-Cola products throughout. Beer selection includes both canned and draft options. Wine and specialty cocktails are available at certain stands and the mobile carts. Be prepared for major-sports-level pricing on alcohol.

The Beer Garden near the north end of the stadium is the go-to pre-game gathering spot. Get there early if you want a good spot.

The stadium does not accept cash for any purchases. Credit, debit, or mobile payment only for everything: food, drinks, merchandise.

Best Seats

One of the best things about Toyota Stadium is that there's no bad seat. The soccer-specific design means the closest seats are only a few yards from the touchline. Every section has a clear view of the full field.

Supporters section: if you want the loudest, most energetic atmosphere, this is it. The FC Dallas supporter groups create a wall of noise here. Standing room, drums, flags, and chanting the full 90 minutes. Not for everyone, but if you want the authentic soccer experience, this is the spot.

Midfield lower bowl: the best overall view of the match. Sections along the west side give you shade in the afternoon (important for summer matches). These seats sell out fastest for big games.

Corner sections (112-113 area): a local favorite. Good sightlines at a lower price than midfield. Close enough to feel the atmosphere but angled enough to see the full tactical shape of the match.

Club seats and suites: air-conditioned luxury with a private bar and food service. Access through the West Gate. If you're hosting a corporate group or want a premium experience, this is the way to go.

During the renovation, seating is limited and the map changes depending on the construction phase. Check the FC Dallas website or your AXS ticket confirmation for the current layout before attending.

National Soccer Hall of Fame

The National Soccer Hall of Fame is built into the south end of Toyota Stadium. It relocated from Oneonta, New York in 2018, making Toyota Stadium the only active MLS venue with a national hall of fame built into its structure.

The museum spans 19,300 square feet with interactive exhibits, U.S. Men's and Women's National Team trophies, memorabilia dating back to the 1800s, and virtual reality experiences. It's worth a visit even if you're not attending a match.

Admission: free on FC Dallas match days. Arrive a couple hours before kickoff to explore without the halftime rush. On non-match days, check the Hall of Fame website for hours and ticket pricing.

Parking: dedicated free parking is available right in front of the building. If that lot is full, the Sienna Blue East lot is around the corner.

The Hall hosts its annual induction ceremony at the stadium each year. If you're a soccer fan, it's worth planning a visit around induction weekend.

Events Beyond FC Dallas

Toyota Stadium stays busy year-round:

Dallas Renegades (UFL): the United Football League team moved to Toyota Stadium for the 2026 season. Spring football games run from March through June.

Frisco ISD football: Friday night high school football games draw big local crowds in the fall.

Concerts: the stadium hosts touring acts and music events. Check the AXS events page for the current schedule.

Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl: an annual college football bowl game held in December/January. Note that the FCS Championship has moved away from Frisco starting in 2025 due to the renovation.

International matches: the U.S. National Team and visiting international clubs play friendlies and competitive matches here periodically.

Bag Policy and Stadium Rules

Bags are allowed into the stadium but will be searched at the inspection area. Clear bags speed up the process. No bottles, cans, coolers, containers, or outside food or beverages of any kind. No air horns, whistles, fireworks, or weapons.

Compact cameras are fine for FC Dallas matches, but lenses longer than 3 inches, detachable lenses, tripods, and selfie sticks are not allowed. No livestreaming without prior approval.

Strollers are permitted but must fold and fit under your seat. Children 2 and under don't need a ticket for FC Dallas matches but must sit on a ticketed adult's lap. Other events may have different policies.

No re-entry. Once you leave, you can't come back in, except during severe weather events where you need to shelter in your vehicle.

Tips From a Local

Arrive 60 to 90 minutes before kickoff. That gives you time to park, clear security, grab food, and walk the concourse. If you're visiting the Hall of Fame on a match day, add another hour.

Summer matches are hot. Sunscreen, a hat, and water are non-negotiable for afternoon and early evening kickoffs. The new roof will help when it's finished in 2028, but until then, the west side seats get shade first.

The post-match fireworks and drone shows after select games are worth staying for. They've become a fan favorite, especially for families with kids.

If you're coming from outside Frisco, eat before you arrive. The Cinemark area two blocks south has multiple restaurants. Three Squares, in particular, is a solid pre-game option. Walk to the stadium after dinner and save on parking.

For families: the concourse is stroller-friendly, and there are family restrooms. Kids love the supporters section energy, but the noise level can be overwhelming for very young children. Midfield seats are a better call for families with toddlers.
