KidZania Frisco: The Local's Guide
Inside Stonebriar Centre sits a 100,000 square foot city run entirely by children. Kids fight fires, fly a real Boeing 737 simulator, anchor newscasts, and earn a currency called kidZos doing it. How KidZania works
Your kids check in at an airport-style counter and receive 50 kidZos, the KidZania currency. From there, the city is theirs. They pick jobs, put on real uniforms, complete the work, and earn more kidZos to spend, save at the in-city bank, or invest. Adults watch through floor-to-ceiling glass at each establishment but cannot join the activities. There is a Parents' Lounge with WiFi for the long haul.
The role-play list runs past 50 careers: firefighter, surgeon, pilot, actor, police detective, radio DJ, and dozens more. Each activity takes 15 to 25 minutes, and popular jobs build lines on busy days.
Hours and tickets
KidZania runs seasonal schedules. Summer 2026 hours are 12 pm to 7 pm daily through August 17, with a couple of holiday closures. During the school year the schedule tightens to select days, usually weighted toward weekends. Book tickets on the official KidZania Dallas site before you drive over; the calendar there is the source of truth, and members skip the booking step entirely.
Planning the day
Treat KidZania as the main event, not a mall stop. Four hours is the floor, and open-to-close is common. Kids will not finish every activity in one visit, which is by design. There is a small convenience store inside for coffee and snacks, and the full Stonebriar Centre food lineup waits outside the gates for dinner after.
Birthday parties are a big part of the business, with packages that include party hosts. Adults without kids cannot enter, which keeps the whole space kid-first.
Nearby for the rest of the family
Split crews work well here. One parent covers KidZania while the other shops the mall, and everyone regroups for dinner. If you are building a bigger Frisco day around it, the Universal Kids Resort guide and our full things to do list cover the rest.
